This Scheme is offered through the Malta Enterprise.

1. Purpose of the Incentive

• Objective: To finance participation in accelerator programs for start-ups and early-stage ventures (within the first 7 years of establishment) that demonstrate growth potential and innovative, market-ready concepts.

• Maximum Support: Up to €100,000 per enterprise, covering program fees, travel, accommodation, and essential costs during the acceleration period.

2. Key Eligibility Criteria

• Business Structure: Must be established within the EEA. Those planning to set up operations in Malta are conditionally eligible based on their formal registration.

• Target Sectors: Includes manufacturing, software development, health, biotech, pharmaceuticals, and other technology-driven sectors with international growth potential.

• Exclusions: Activities related to construction, real estate (with certain sustainability exemptions), and gambling are ineligible.

3. Use of Funds

Funds can be used for:

• Accelerator program fees.

• Travel costs (up to 4 round trips per participant).

• Accommodation and per diem allowances (€200 per person per day, for a maximum of 2 people per enterprise).

• Corporate service provider fees for setting up business entities in Malta (up to €5,000).

• Rental of business premises and equipment required to validate products or services.

4. Application and Evaluation Process

• Application Timeline: The incentive is available until December 31, 2030, with applications processed via the Malta Enterprise portal.

• Evaluation Criteria:Feasibility of the business model. Potential to employ skilled labor in Malta. Alignment with environmental and sustainable development goals. Contributions to strengthening Malta's economic and technological sectors.
